Pride of Paisley Lions
Joe was one of the voices this Summer from the lion ‘Paisley Conversation’, which was outside the Paisley Arts Centre, explaining the importance of art and the Paisley Art Institute’s collection. This was part of Paisley’s bid for City of Culture 2021 and was known as the Pride of Paisley.
The Horse and Groom
Fun was had this summer when Joe was down at Eton for his solo show. The gallery owner requested permission to use one of the paintings as the sign on his newly refurbished pub, ‘The Horse and Groom’, opposite the entrance to Windsor castle. It certainly looks the part!
The Bigger Picture
Later that year the Iona House Gallery recommended another of Joe’s works to adorn the programme of events upcoming at Jesus College, Oxford. The description beside it reads: ‘The Bigger Picture’ …….’This humorous and lively image points quizzically to serious reflection on perspectives and how our lives might relate to the life of the world.’
